Love it or hate it.........We can't pick our family ....so some of us just remove ourselves from the people that piss us off....or we tolerate them, send them a card when we have to......wish them Happy Birthday and then hide for another year because you don't want to get in the path of the their wrath....... 

I'm sure you can't stand someone in your family.....??? Yeah come on, you can say it out loud... There is no one but you and this computer....But its these individual differences that make families so dynamic.......It gives families great stories, laughter and tears... Strength........families can build us up and knock us down.....they stand behind us and in front.

What does not kill you makes you stronger... (Stab me now... ha!ha!ha!)

Your family knows all the right buttons to push, to the point that it's like a knife in your back ..... And they do it for sport, ouch!! It's funny in an ironic sense of the word, we yell and get impatient with the people that are closest to us... Yet a total stranger, we tolerate their indifferences.

I always tell my kids to be polite when company comes over.....Yet when there's no company, my kids can get rude and obnoxious....So the next time we have friends over, just before they arrive, I think I'm going to tell my kids to be rude, snotty and selfish .....So when the friends leave ...my kids will be happy, kind and help clean up.....I don't think that will work??? But I should try it at least once!

My kids always seem to behave better when I'm not there ..... what's with that?

I talk to my kids about integrity and character.... pride of ownership and compassion....to always try and do the right thing......And not the "right thing for you, but the right thing for the person you might be doing something wrong to"........(For the record I love my kids and they are great!)

I share this message with my staff a lot..... Sometimes I think it's lost in the crowd of other messages I deliver?

Someone I really respect once said "you can't buy loyalty...." I really like that line.....they shared with me their philosophy on Corporate loyalty.....It goes like this....."We don't realize how far downstream we effect our companies.....That water cooler conversation can unwind a lot of good stuff"......He continued "True corporate loyalty is drinking the juice, and sharing your enthusiasm with others to drink up. If you complain about drinking the juice while you're drinking it, it's not loyalty...it's being a hypocrite".

"If you're on the boat, row....... but don't stand around complaining while you're watching others row......And then tell everyone your with them!!!!"

Stadia/Byrne Partners/ Northern Stadia are not perfect..... no company is..... no person is....We all try hard......we try to be positive....you know, the cup half full kind of thinking....caring...serving...... best foot forward. Saying that.......

I really screwed up with Crown Properties last month....... And I'm not telling you what I did either, because it was dumb..... And no... I did not fuck up a job...(My competitors who are reading this, are waiting for the punch line or have left this blog and gone to Canada 411 to look up "Crown Property Management" right now ! Ha!ha!ha!) So I screwed up, I was very humble and I waited a month....... then I called....made an appointment, face to face..... I walked into that office, I lowered my head..... apologized........ and the very big boss at Crown told me that he forgave me.......simple...... really, really simple.... Why can't more people forgive?

It is a big person, a compassionate person, that can truly forgive.......That's the big thing in this world, we like to blame,.....and hold grudges...

Crown properties has integrity...... they care about their vendors, their managers, their team and their owners......I'm proud I can still work for them........if you're a tenant you should be proud to be in a Crown building.....

Ok ok ok.... Stop laughing....so, I know I don't have many readers...... So I have no reason to suck up to crown.....Actually I believe most readers are people who have applied to work at our place and want to check out our philosophy.......or my philosophy. Maybe a few family members who I won't mention come to the site....Hi Kevin..... Hi Kelly .... Hi Rob.....

My wife.... Yes of course... My biggest fan ....... She runs the club......My loving Kids....nope!

If you read this whole blog.... You would find I'm a pretty straight shooter....I'm not the smartest, but I can and do think for myself....I'm not the easiest to get along with but I am compassionate...I'm not always right.... and I can admit it....I can say I'm SORRY..... without saying BUT! ( Take a minute it will click) I can hear another side of the story.....I still tell my son I love him and kiss him (he is almost 19) and hold his hand when I can.......I'm a terrible speller, I'm OCD, I'm dyslexic but who really cares.......I like McDonald's....that's right I said it... but as I've gotten older I need to stay close to a bathroom when eating it!

On another note..... What about our government dropping 64 billion into the economy.... a huge debt for our kids !!! That's wrong when you think about it...... Our government has done nothing since Sept 08 til now, Jan 09....

Why not lay them off for another year and then we don't have to go into debt at all.......I don't want to leave any debt for my kids.... Cut spending! Or better yet, don't spend more.....Didn't Bob Rae try to spend his way out ??? hmmmm!!!

Why not give every person in the country from 0 to 111 years of age $ 18,000.00 ++ each ? My house of 5... that's almost $100,000.....Oh and I can tell you my family would spend it big time.......

The USA should for sure do the same thing....

They are going to give their banking sector $100,000,000,000,000.00, that's a lot of "0's"....So why not give each person in the country $50,000.... Wow what a spending spree we all would have........And if we choose not to buy GMC cars then it truly would be the market that let them go down.....real democracy. Bailing them out when nobody wants their cars is stupid.......

Obama has a lot of work ahead of him........I really like him, just wait until after the honeymoon......but at least he still has his blackberry.......I could not live without mine...

I don't think we are going to see an upturn for 24 to 36 months... Talk to me in 2011...maybe 12.........Crazy..... Boom to bust in 8 months....in 2008.....

I still believe for the most part, that if you're contributing to the company profit you will keep your job..... The question is...how do you quantify "profit"......tough question.... because sometimes our perceptions are skewed....

Blinders up, show up for work and work hard, do extra stuff............. This shit will be over in no time.......
