Job Purpose:
An established national provider of door and glass service who's head office is located in Concord, Ontario is looking for a Purchasing/Procurement Coordinator. This position will work closely with the VP of Operations, Project Managers, Operations Managers, Estimators, and Technical Staff to source materials and parts required for various ongoing projects.
Duties:
Strong negotiating skills and a thorough knowledge of inventory control
Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best price and sourcing new suppliers
Establish strong strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure fast, flexible and effective sourcing of components
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization and externally with suppliers
Skills/Qualifications:
Previous skill sets in the construction trade
Specific experience of glass and/or aluminum products
Some experience with commercial door hardware
Proficient computer skills, specifically Windows, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented; able to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning.
Ability to multi-task and manage and produce numerous projects at different stages of development; problem solve and prioritize in a fast paced, high volume environment.

- Flexibility to change priorities with short notice to meet business needs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to be creative and think outside the box.
Familiarity with project management processes
Self motivated, professional and flexible; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
